Shenyang Normal University (SNU), originated from Northeast Education Institute, is a tertiary normal university of Liaoning Province. It was established in 1951 and was one of the two oldest normal universities in Northeastern China.

At present, the total enrollment of the whole university is 24,279. It now consists of 34 schools and departments. The new campus covers a land area of 1,286,000 square meters, of which the construction space is 758,000 square meters. There is a collection of over 1,800,000 books in the new library. The University has 1,645 faculty members, including 225 professors and 603 associate professors.

The College of International Business (CIB) currently has more than 3600 students and over 100 faculty staff. It provides Bachelor of Arts (International Economic Law), Bachelor of Science (Marketing and International Logistics) and Bachelor of Business Administration (International Finance and International Trade). It can also provide Master¡¯s Degree in Socioeconomics and Western Economics.

The college has adequate faculty with high teaching skills, strong foreign language ability, and rich professional and practical background. It has the specialized foreign teachers who are sent by Fort Hays State University (FHSU), and the foreign teachers teaching English. The Chinese teachers all have Master¡¯s Degrees and PhD, and half of them have the experience of studying abroad.

Both the Chinese and American parties adopt bilateral curriculum-articulation cooperative style, and enable Chinese students to get dual bachelor degrees from SNU and FHSU through the mode of ¡°4+0¡± or the mode of ¡°2+1+1¡±. The college aims at training practical, comprehensive, international and high-grade professional talents in Economics, Foreign Trade, Law and Management, with excellent English abilities, new specialized knowledge, strong innovating and practical abilities.
